Hello, Prospective Students, My name is Callie, and I love working one-on-one with you! I have a BA in Classical Latin and an MFA in Creative Writing from the world-famous University of Iowa Writers' Workshop (considered the "Harvard" of writing schools). I also have a Masters in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica. In addition to tutoring, I'm a counselor. I used to run an after-school learning center in Downey, CA, where I tutored students for 17 years in verbal skills. I also taught Classical Mythology--my favorite subject!--for one semester at USC. Believe it or not, I LOVE to tutor the ACT English section and have taught it for years. You CAN increase your ACT English score! There are really only a handful of essential rules. I pride myself on giving clear instruction and explanations and love working with all kinds of students. I've also tutored both creative and formal writing for years. I especially LOVE helping seniors with their college essays! I live in Pasadena and have a great conference room in the lobby of my exceptionally nice apartment building.
