I graduated with honors from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a B.S. in Chemistry and a focus on biology. During my last two years of university, I worked as a teacher's assistant for the chemistry department. Upon graduating, I moved to California, where I began working at the California Institute of Technology as a chemistry instructional assistant. I am now in the process of applying to master's programs in education, as I plan on teaching high school science.I feel very passionately about science as well as all of the accomplishments achieved investigating science. It is my goal to share my passion with a new generation of students, helping them find the same love in pursuing their interests. As a tutor, I am capable of teaching a wide range of subjects such as elementary and middle school math, algebra, calculus, chemistry, biology, anatomy, physics, social sciences, and German. I am also able to help students prepare for standardized tests such as the ACT and the MCAT.My primary interests are science and teaching. However, when I am outside of academia, my hobbies include being outdoors (where I like to play with animals and hike along mountain trails), crocheting, and playing boarding games with my friends.
