I have a passion for education and for giving students freedom in their lives through academic success and literacy. I focus on a student's reading and writing skills and in developing their interests through education. I always want my students to feel comfortable and encourage open communication to ensure that we are on the same page and that no one is feeling left behind. I am a compassionate and nurturing tutor that encourages students to always attempt their best work. I make the extra effort to get to know my students, as it allows me to better understand how I can teach them.I received my education at Providence Christian College and graduated with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, focusing on English and History. I gained experience working with different study groups and editing college essays. I also tutored middle school and elementary students in the language arts, helping them with reading skills, grammar, and phonetics. I'm able to tutor in various areas, such as Literature, American History, Social Studies, Journalism, Creative Writing, Poetry, World Civilizations, public speaking, study skills, and the grammar and mechanics of writing. My spare time is spent reading, writing, watching movies, and going for walks.
