Hobbies

I have taught music lessons in piano, clarinet, and composition (classical repertoire, music theory and history, improvisation, arrangement, song-writing) for over 15 years. I have also practiced and taught tai chi for a decade and I'm a certified yoga instructor (international certification from UCSD), so I aim to help students move with ease and relaxation. I also enjoy creative writing, biking, learning aikido, fermenting kombucha and vegetables, and playing the guqin, the Chinese seven-string zither traditionally played for meditating on nature.
