I went to the University of Southern California to earn my bachelor's degree in neuroscience. I also minored in Spanish. I've a strong academic background in biology and chemistry. I also have developed excellent communication skills for my role as a board member of the campus organization. I love the sciences, and I love to share my knowledge with others. I focus on helping students develop a real understanding of these topics as opposed to memorizing a formula or a glossary term. When I tutor math, I focus on helping students develop problem-solving in critical thinking skills that are necessary for them to approach problems creatively and solve them with self-sufficiency. I also respect that each student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to match the learning style and maximize efficacy. I can tutor students in algebra, elementary and middle school math topics, trigonometry, biology, chemistry, psychology, and study skills. I can also help students prepare for the SAT and other standardized exams. When I have free time, I love dancing, but in particular jazz and ballet. I also like to get outside nature for hikes or play time with the dogs, and I love to read.
