EducationU.C. Berkeley - B.A., French , U.C.L.A. - M.Ed., Education
ExperienceEducation is my driving passion in life. I have both a bachelor's degree in French from U.C. Berkeley, as well as a master's degree in education from UCLA. I also hold a current teaching certificate from the state of California.I have worked as an educator in some respect for over a decade, and I have found that working individually with students is not only of great benefit to them, but is the best position for me as a teacher. This allows both of us to focus on the student's challenges and how to overcome them. The best part of teaching is seeing the light bulb go off over a student's head when they finally understand a subject. I've worked with students in nearly every grade in many different subjects. I've served as a substitute teacher, a summer school math teacher to high schoolers, and even as a full-time elementary school teacher. Since I took French during my undergraduate studies, I can tutor French at all levels, as well as English grammar and essay writing skills. I can also work with students on mathematics, study skills and organization, essays for college entrance exams, history, social studies, geography, and public speaking. When I'm not following my teaching passion, I love to stay in shape with yoga and cycling, and I also enjoy creative writing.
